This policy covers Alda Row (this site) and the small Google API app I use for my own home automation, for example syncing my calendar to my laptop and sorting my own email with self-hosted tools.
Who uses the app#
Only me. The app is not offered to anyone else, and nobody else’s data is requested.
What Google data it accesses#
With my consent through Google’s sign-in screen, the app may read my own:
- Gmail messages and labels, to automate my own inbox (for example filing or summarising messages)
- Google Calendar events, to show my calendar on my own devices
How the data is used and stored#
- It is processed only on hardware I own (my home server and my laptop).
- It is not sold, shared, or transferred to anyone, and not used for advertising.
- It is not used to train AI models.
- Access tokens are stored only on my own machines.
The app’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Removing access#
Access can be revoked at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Revoking it stops all access, and any stored copies are deleted from my machines.
This website#
This site has no accounts, ads or tracking cookies. The host (Cloudflare) may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses, for security.
